Programs at the three universities in the University of Illinois System again placed prominently in the 2023-24 U.S. News Best Graduate Programs rankings.
Of the programs newly evaluated this year, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign had 16 in the top five in the nation, 27 in the top 10 and 41 in the top 20.
Also, education, engineering and chemistry ranked in every one of the sub-disciplines U.S. News evaluates. Individual standout programs at UIUC in this year’s evaluation include civil and materials engineering both ranked second in the nation, accounting ranked third, and computer science ranked fifth.
University of Illinois Chicago programs earning distinction among the nation’s top 20 include the College of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice and master’s programs, the School of Public Health and its healthcare management program. The College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ mathematics program, and the College of Business Administration Liautaud Graduate School’s part-time MBA program ranked among the nation’s top 50.
University of Illinois Springfield’s public affairs graduate degrees ranked among the top 25 percent in the United States. UIS offers graduate public affairs degrees in human services, legal studies, political science, public administration, public affairs reporting and public policy.
UIS was also ranked in the best part-time MBA category. UIS was ranked as an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International accredited institution, considered the gold standard for business programs.
