University of Illinois System Day in the Capitol on Tuesday brought together system and university leaders, students, and alumni to advocate for the system’s priorities for and with the state.
After U of I System President Tim Killeen spoke to launch the important day, the system's state government relations team shared talking points to help groups for their conversations with legislators and their staff. The effort focused on two crucial fronts: increased funding for universities and funding deferred maintenance programs.
By bolstering operating funding and prioritizing maintenance programs, the U of I System can fortify its educational institutions, ensuring they remain at the forefront of shaping a brighter future for all. To be part of future advocacy efforts, please join Illinois Connection.
