Welcome to the University of Illinois System’s 2022-23 academic year!

Whether you’re a new or returning student, the coming months look especially bright.

Our communities have weathered the worst of the pandemic, and we can all look ahead with greater strength, resiliency and optimism. It’s been a true delight to see so many smiling faces moving about our campuses with renewed energy and a returned sense of normalcy.

The beginning of a new school year is an exciting time of exploration and contemplation, filled with immense opportunity. And to those who will earn their degrees and move on at the end of the year, enjoy the prospect of tremendous accomplishment and joyful celebration that lie ahead.

Wherever you are in your academic journey, make the most of your time here. Get involved, try something new, lend a helping hand. Find new friends, be open to different perspectives, and be sure to have some fun along the way. 

You can be proud of your connection to a respected community of scholars and to universities that each rank best-in-class among their peers. They are here to help you reach your dreams and achieve the goals you’ve set for yourself.
